I've been obsessed with social media since Twitter became popular during my freshman year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My peers knew me as the go-to person who managed social accounts for organizations across campus.
Since then, my love of social media marketing, tech, content creation, and teaching others how to use digital tools and platforms to build a brand blossomed into the idea for The Content Plug, as my peers know me as the "plug" when they have a pressing social media question.
During my years of hesitation to begin The Content Plug, I've managed social media platforms and created content for brands such as The Andy Roddick Foundation, Austin Startups, BlackPeopleMeet.com, Blnded Media, the NCAA Final Four and numerous other businesses nationwide. I've also taught classes on social media via General Assembly, SXSW, and BossBabesATX.
It was the gentle and consistent nudging of friends and family that made me realize I needed to make my own dreams come true, which in turn helps your dreams come true.
From 9-5, I create and execute social strategy as the social media manager of an international furniture company.
From 5-9, I'm the Plug your brand needs to stand out online.
In the rare moments I'm not working with clients, you can catch me running Austin’s hike and bike trail, trying to take the perfect curly hair selfie and frequenting restaurants that serve macaroni & cheese.
